Cassandra Williams, LCSW, Director and Founder, created "Bonding" to serve as a resource for cutting edge and alternative treatments to psychotherapy for those with trauma and attachment needs.
"Adverse life experiences, or trauma, can impact us at all stages of life. It is my job to partner with you while we work to improve your family life. It is also my role to be the agent to hold stress and tension from your family as we work together to move past self-preservation and into healing. With specialized training in complex trauma I work with all individuals and families."
I completed both my Bachelors and Masters Degree in Social Work at Colorado State University and completed my post-graduate licensure while working in community mental health. I have extensive experience with family systems. I have received expert consultation in treating complex developmental trauma (including EMDR), attachment, abuse and parenting support .
Navigating life experiences can be challenging and support from a professional provides an opportunity to allow me to shoulder those burdens. At Bonding and Behavior, we pride ourselves on our focus to the clinician-client relationship. I hope to meet you soon!
Many individuals can feel stuck in feelings associated with adverse life experiences or trauma. Anxiety, fear, and hopelessness are a few emotions that can linger following traumatic events. We can support you in overcoming these experiences and guide you through the process of grief and healing. It has been the goal of Bonding and Behavior since it's beginnings to utilize out of the box approaches to treating trauma that go far beyond talk therapy.
Attachment is our interpersonal gravity. Utilizing a relational base, Bonding and Behavior works to heal attachment disruption with extensive experience in treating those that have survived abuse and neglect and aiding in their attachment to their Caregivers, or assisting the adult Client in attaching to their self. In children, this includes addressing the needs of the parent(s) and healing the family as a whole.
